Palazzo Mancini :: 671

Built in the early 16th century on the pre-existing Palazzo Riccardi in Piazza San Tommaso, it was badly damaged during both the First and the Second World Wars. The main architectural features are the presence of a corner ashlar and  two imposing stone portals. The Duchess Margaret of Austria, who had bought the town of Ortona in 1582, was hosted for some periods in the Palace and here she died on 18th January 1586.
